At Emerson, Anand held the position of VP of Corporate Strategy at Emerson Network Power, where he successfully identified and enabled strategic acquisitions across the globe valued at <$1M to >$1B. Anand also managed businesses for Emerson in India and the US, significantly growing market share and profitability for both.
Over his career, Anand has conducted business in over 40 countries around the world.

Client: European high technology energy storage company
Background: The client had spent several years in stealth research mode developing a unique technology for energy storage applications, and was now getting ready to launch the product. The client wanted to:
- Get an independent evaluation of its state of readiness to transition from research mode to full commercial operational mode
- Understand global market segments for its product and prioritize these segments based on criteria to be developed
- Create a positioning and messaging approach for the targeted segments
- Develop a 5-year business plan for its own internal planning, and for presentation to potential investors
Assignment: We completed a thorough evaluation of the client’s organization, functional areas, uniqueness of product and technology relative to competitive offerings, reviewed third-party market reports and forecasts; and analyzed technology trends in various market segments. We made recommendations on each of the four questions above. The client accepted all recommendations for implementation.
